The following Adobe Sign features are optional to set up.
Agreement settings:
- Completion deadline ["None" by default]. This setting cannot be edited.
- Reminder frequency: Set a reminder for the recipient’s email.
- Password: Set a password for the contract.
- Signature type ["Electronic" by default].
- Language.
- Add fields.
Signature orders / Add recipients
Adjust the signature order by clicking the arrows to sort the signing order.
Turn on the “Recipients must sign in order” for a restricted signature order.
Turn off the “Recipients must sign in order” for a non-restricted signature order.
Set a reminder
Set a reminder for signers to provide their e-signature via email:
- Every day
- Every week
- Every business day
- Every two days
- Every three days
- Every five days
Click the pen to edit the agreement settings.
Then, set the e-mail reminder. Click “Continue” to confirm the selection.
Set a password to restrict viewing access to the PDF copy of the agreement
When creating the agreement, the sender has the option to set a specific password that is applied to the signed PDF document. This password is required to open and view the signed PDF file.
Selecting the "Show password" checkbox reveals the password so you can confirm both entries match.
If the two passwords do not match, an error icon appears in the second password field.
*Note: It is important to remember that the signed PDF password you set is embedded into the PDF, and is not possible to recover or reset.
If the signed PDF password is lost or forgotten, there is no way to open the PDF.
Passwords can contain letters, numbers, and special characters. For example:

Language
Recipients’ language
Select the language used for emails sent to recipients and during the signing process.
There are 34 languages available, including English, French, Japanese, German, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and more.
Add fields
Many fields can be added to the contract if needed if needed, such as e-signature, initials, recipient name, recipient email, date of signing, text, date, number, checkbox, radio button, drop-down menu, and more.
