1. Create a new form request for CCDC 9A/9B.
2. Click the search button to look for the document.
3. Select the document. (There is a document description list in English and French).
4. Select the language (English or French) and click “Confirm selection.”
5. Fill in the contract details. Type the “Form title” under BASIC AGREEMENT INFORMATION. (This will not print out on the contract; it is for internal use only.)
Fill out the information under the AGREEMENT, INTERNAL NOTES (optional), and SIGNING PARTIES.
6. AGREEMENT:
- Enter the Title of the project
- Select the option that needs to be made by the contractor (subcontractor in CCDC 9B) as a condition.
- Insert the Application for payment number (this number is to reference the last payment received).
- Enter the Date of application and Date of contract (subcontract in CCDC 9B)
- Use search function and select the Name of Owner, Contractor (or Subcontractor in CCDC 9B)

8. SIGNING PARTIES:
- Use the Search function
to input the Contractor name (Subcontractor in CCDC 9B)
- Input the Commissioner's name and email address
9. After filling in all fields and applicable tables, go to the ATTACHMENTS/E-SIGNATURE tab to generate the contract and add the attachment(s).
Click “Yes” and “Create and attach.” (This process may take several minutes.)
10. When this is complete, you can preview the file before continuing to make sure everything is correct.
11. Add attachment (if needed) to the signing package. Click “Attach/Manage” or drag and drop files directly into the box. Then, click “Add file” to ensure that the files are attached in the system.
12. After adding the attachments, you can set the sorting order to organize the appearance of the final contract package. Be sure to save after entering the sorting order.
13. Send an email to another party (optional) to review the contracts and/or the attached files.
14. Choose the default email or freeform email from [Email Title] to the other party for contract review.

Select the files that need to be sent with the email and click “Send email.”
15. Once every party(s) (whoever is witnessing and commissioning the document) has reviewed and agreed to sign the contract, click “Yes” to Create Adobe Sign for e-signature and click “Create Adobe agreement.”
*Note: It is recommended that all parties agree to sign the contract before sending the Adobe Sign agreements.
16. Once “Create Adobe agreement” is clicked, the contract package will be shown in the record, and the list of recipients will be auto-populated under Adobe Sign recipients.
*Note: After clicking “Create Adobe agreement”, editing the contract is not permissible.
17. Click “Preview” to review the contract, or “Send” if a preview is not needed.
If you click “Preview,” a pop-up window will appear displaying the contract.
18. Ensure the email addresses are correct. If not, you can edit them directly in the field.
If the recipients need to sign in a specific order, check the corresponding box (see the red circle). You may also choose to set a reminder for the signees and/or create a password to protect the agreement (see the yellow frame). Then, click “Preview and add fields.”
19. Preview the contract and click “Send” .The contract will be sent to each party for witness and signature. For CCDC 9, it would be to whoever is commissioning the document. There is a signature field for the contractor (subcontractor in CCDC 9B) and fields for the commissioner to enter the date of the declaration, signature, and the stamp for validation.
20. The contract will be sent to the required signee(s). The system will show you the document has been successfully sent.
21. Each signee will receive an email. Then, click “Review and sign.”
22. You can track the status of the signature.
23. Once every recipient has signed the agreement, you may receive an email that all parties signed the contract.
Also, the signed contract will show up on the system under Attachments/e-signature tab “CONTRACT ATTACHMENTS” section.
